1- Australia is being targeted by a cyber attack

According to RNZ News, Australia’s institutions are being attacked by ongoing sophisticated state-based cyber hacks. Morrison said the cyberattacks “were widespread, covering “all levels of government” as well as essential services and businesses. He declined to identify a specific state actor and said no major personal data breaches had been made.”  The attacks have been occurring over many months and increasing.

2-Amazon Prevented DDOS Attacks

According to BBC News, Amazon prevented the largest DDoS attack in history. Amazon provides the infrastructure on which many websites rely, has been attacked by a Distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks which are prepared “to knock a website offline by flooding it with huge amounts of requests until it crashes.”

3- Cyber attack using Covid-19

According to Business line, Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has informed of a large-scale cyber attack against individuals and businesses in which criminals use malicious e-mails under the pretext of local authorities dispensing government-funded Covid-19 support initiatives.

4- Foodora Data Breach Impacts 727,000 Users

According to Cisomag, Food delivery firm Foodora exposed more than 727,000 clients’ “details from 14 countries across Europe including France, Finland, Austria, Spain, and Italy. The exposed data included usernames, phone numbers, addresses, full names, locations, and hashed passwords of Foodora customers.”
